The Land Departure system will audibly alert the driver when he or she drifts out of a lane without signaling or actively using the steering wheel. This feature has 2 levels of sensitivity and can be deactivated completely from the control panel.

Volvo’s unique and highly effective Whiplash Protection System (or WHIPS) protects the spine and neck during a rear collision. WHIPS has been proven to reduce long-term complications due to whiplash by 50 percent.
